After eating the lights went out and I think we managed to sleep reasonably well even though it feels pretty cramped. This is not my favourite plane. I think I prefer the big Airbus when we've managed to sit upstairs. Still an 8 hour flight is pretty short really. The new noise cancelling headphones we invested in have been well worth it and I'm sure they helped us to sleep as did mum's music for Reiki healing, very relaxing.
It's now 4:30 and breakfast has been served and we're 1 hour 15 off landing. Omelette with chicken, cherry tomatoes and baked beans mmmmm!!!!!!!!!!
So whilst you've all been tucked up in your beds, we've had dinner and breakfast and flown half way round the world. Our adventure has begun.
Delhi airport is a constant round of security. We've lost count of the number of times we've been scanned, finger prints taken and patted down. We checked in our hold luggage for the onward flight to Amritsar and then made our way to an airport hotel for lunch. We even had to be scanned and stickered to show that we had passed security in order to get into the hotel. Lunch was very pleasant and after meeting the rest of our group, all 35 of them, we are now waiting to board our flight. It is only an hour to Amritsar and a fleet of taxis will be waiting to take us to the hotel. We are told it'll be a quick turnaround as we are going to the golden temple tonight. Bed will be very welcome.
